Gilded Edges Series 9
7”H x 7”W x 6 1/2”D
This particular piece is part of my Gilded Edges Bowl Series and was developed using a thrown bisque mold. The vivid gold, red, orange and blue colors on this raku pottery piece were developed using specially formulated pottery glazes. Using my own recipes, I can transform and control the chemical bonds of each raku pottery piece. This makes my connection to each piece deeper and more personal.
Raku Pottery Materials
The most common combustibles used with my raku pottery are organic materials such as leaves, straw, sawdust, or paper. Once I apply them to each pottery piece, they melt in the firing and leave some truly spectacular results.
Please see here for more of my raku memorial urns.
