This raku pottery bottle was thrown on the wheel.  After bisque firing, it was glazed with my proprietary Space Rock glaze and raku fired. After cooling I added more glazes and fired this piece again. The textured glaze on the bottle was abraded.

 I love using my own glaze recipes that add creative variations to each raku piece, which to me, makes my raku pottery work more distinctive and more intimate.  These exceptional glazes were applied to the vase until I was happy with the color and textures and how they integrate with the design of the raku pottery.  A sure conversation starter and a definite eye catcher! With its reflective, luminous properties, it is the perfect raku pottery for your front entry way, hallway or as a standalone centerpiece.
