Vance Knob Vista Triptych
26.5"H x 8.5"W
All of my raku tiles are individually cut from slabs of clay. After drying, they are bisque fired standing upright in the kiln. Then I lay the tiles out in the desired size and shape, and draw the pattern on them with a pencil. Using the pattern as a guide, I then apply underglazes and glazes in the desired areas. Each raku pottery tile is created from homemade glazes that I make using different combustibles. To learn more about how my raku wall pieces are made, please see here.
These wall pieces were created using the raku firing process.
