(New) Golden Top Space Rock Ovoid
11.5”W x13”H
This beautiful raku pottery vessel was thrown on the wheel and altered when wet. After it was bisque fired, it was glazed with proprietary glazes creating the gold and space rock surface. It then was raku fired and the textured glaze was abraded after it cooled down.
There is something very special about changing the composition of pottery into a one of a kind raku art piece. The flat and rugged “space rock” textures add special luminous and reflective features. The main glazes that you see were created in post fire reduction and as they dependent on the amount of oxygen allowed. This unique raku pottery piece will be a wonderful highlight to your collection, make it yours today!

Most of the pottery that I make is thrown on the wheel. I created my own set of recipes which makes the work even more personal. One thing I love is to be constantly looking for new forms and glazes to create. Once created, the glazes are sprayed, poured and/or painted on the pieces until I am happy with the combination of colors and textures.
